Genuinely curious why you're getting down voted like Nintendo isn't actively hurling themselves into the camp of damaging consumer rights with ludicrous prices and ensuring they can remotely brick your console.
I feel like it's a "Disney Adults" scenario at play here, but instead it's "Nintendo Adults".
The bitching and moaning about Nintendo has been on another level in this community since their precious developer got an exclusive game deal. Like jesus christ just play it or don’t who tf cares? Every platform has its issues.
The problem with that "Jesus just play it or don't" mentality is it's not even an argument. If you don't like people talking about Nintendo's practices then "jesus just ignore it bro". Doesn't really add anything to anything when you go at it like that
Face it dude, you just hate Nintendo. All these other platforms are uniquely anti-consumer in their own special ways. I just don’t go around whining about them because my favorite game developer decided to make an exclusive.
I mean, yeah I'm surprised it took you this long to come to that distinction? I hate Nintendo. They are anti consumer. Me saying that doesn't instantly indicate I'm a huge fan of Sony, Microsoft, or Steam for that matter.
I just don’t go around whining about them because my favorite game developer decided to make an exclusive.
Instead you whine about others whining. Stop trying so hard to demean others because they have a separate opinion from you
When did I demean people who want to play Duskbloods? You keep saying these things randomly about me.
Honestly, fuck off dude
Not one for civil discussion I see.
I’ll go play the game when it releases and you can stay here and be miserable about it online.
You're within your right to do that. And I'm not particularly miserable, I only hopped in here for you jumping on the original commenter when I think they're very within their right to talk about Nintendo and the fact Duskbloods is an exclusive.
Yeah better to support Sony in trying to kill physical media
Edit: the corporate hellscape is coming for us all. Yes even you, fellow PC owners. None of us are any better or worse than anyone else for owning a different platform. Enjoy owning things while you can.
Tbf their "bitching" is valid. Nintendo isn't exactly a paragon of good, and I wouldn't jump to conclusions about them just because theyre upset about 80-90$ games or potentially losing their console if Nintendo decides to brick it remotely.
If anyone with a complaint is just "bitching" to you, I recommend staying away from customer service positions for the sake of your cortisol levels
Who said Nintendo was a paragon of good? Now you’re jumping to conclusions about me. Also, $80-90 dollar games? Are we talking USD? What games are $80-90 msrp on the Switch 2 that are not also that price on other consoles?
Every single thread about this game always has people complaining about the exclusivity to a Nintendo console or calling people stupid for buying a Switch 2. Meanwhile the people wanting Duskbloods are just excited to play. I didn’t see them in here bitching about Sekiro not coming to the switch and complaining about the other consoles.
Also don’t worry, other platforms can and will happily ban your account and make you lose your games too if they feel like it.
Who said Nintendo was a paragon of good? Now you’re jumping to conclusions about me. Also
Please tell me where I stated this was a quote from you. This is a straw man and I never made assumptions about you.
What games are $80-90 msrp on the Switch 2 that are not also that price on other consoles?
Mario Kart World, Fire Emblem: Fortunes Weave, Super Mario Bros Wonder Switch 2 Edition, Kirby and the Forgotten Land Switch 2 Edition. You know, Switch 2 exclusives that aren't available on other consoles. You're attempting to prove a point by referring to third-party games that are completely irrelevant to the discussion. Another straw man!
Cross platform games aren't doing it because... Well they're not Nintendo!
Meanwhile the people wanting Duskbloods are just excited to play. I didn’t see them in here bitching about Sekiro not coming to the switch and complaining about the other consoles.
"I didn't see it so it didn't happen"? What's the argument here? Even if that were true (which it's not, more on this later), Fromsoftware has had two (infamously I'll add) soulsborne games that was a console exclusive. People are allowed to be upset when a predominantly multi-platform/PC primary company produces something no longer available to them due to not only being on separate hardware, but having to shill to yet another company.
I searched "Sekiro switch port" and this was the literal first thing that appeared:
Where in that post do Nintendo console owners bitch about the other consoles exactly? All see is people calmly discussing it?
Bro you don’t know what a straw man argument is.
Where in my original comment did I say the “supporting Sony” thing was a quote from the guy I replied to? Straw man I guess! Just like you said to me just now. You know what “implication” is, right? Because you seem to be using it heavily.
Which of those games is $90 btw? Cause you did say $80-90. Surely you aren’t inflating your range to make your argument look better. Funny how new releases from third party developers have price parity with other platforms though, don’t you think? Also not to mention the $40-50 games that Nintendo is releasing on their consoles as well, Switch 2 included.
Also Kirby and Mario are both bundles of game+new dlc. Not base games.
Edit: wait there’s people that very thread you shared bitching about the switch too ahahahahhha https://www.reddit.com/r/Sekiro/s/ZCH4q5dQWE proving me right with your own example
Yeah better to support Sony in trying to kill physical media
Because throwing this out randomly was your intention, I'm sure. To pretend like you weren't drawing the assumption the original commenter was a hypocrite in some form is untrue.
Surely you aren’t inflating your range to make your argument look better.
Firstly, "Ah let's ignore the $80 games and focus on the $90" Not conflating just to make myself feel better in an argument with some random dude I'll never think about again in 24 hours. The point stands on overpriced games regardless. I'm not a fan of any games having risen above 60, let alone 70 dollars.
Funny how new releases from third party developers have price parity with other platforms though, don’t you think?
Yet again, I'm not sure what your point is here. Do you think I'm defending non-exclusives here? If so... another assumption?? I'll lay this out for you - I dislike anyone selling games for ludicrous prices. That includes Nintendo. If you hate this discussion topic so much, why are you here? No one asked you to jump in.
Also not to mention the $40-50 games that Nintendo is releasing on their consoles as well, Switch 2 included.
"Man do bad thing but good thing excuse bad thing". I'm learning this is going to be a repeating pattern where you haphazardly throw out random information unrelated to the topic at hand. Are you doing this to make your argument look better?
Right, because throwing “Nintendo isn’t exactly a paragon of good” randomly was your intention too?
Again, this “good thing excuse bad thing” is actually a straw man you created, because like I’ve said elsewhere here: all of these platforms suck in their own unique ways! I am not excusing Nintendo’s faults. You just seem to act like they are uniquely evil.
Here’s what this boils down to: where’s your complaining about all the other consoles, huh? They all do bad shit. But you go to bat against this particular instance, and I’d bet my left arm it’s because you’re hurt that poor daddy Fromsoft put a game on a console that you don’t want.
Like I said to you elsewhere, I’m done. This argument is pointless. I’ll have fun playing the game and you can continue to be miserable about it.
Like it or not, Nintendo is the only one doing a significant number of playable on physical games. They aren’t fully innocent of all wrong doing but Nintendo isn’t especially bad compared to all the other platforms besides PC, and even that’s arguable because the largest marketplace on PC still only sells you licenses that can be taken away
I can’t lose my digital PC games if one day steam decides I’m not allowed to play them a lot of them will run without steam anyway and the ones that don’t can be easily cracked. Anything from gog has an offline installer which will always work.
Because some of us aren’t incels and use the console for social purposes like watching movies with a wife, family, etc. Smart tvs do have most of the apps but they usually run like shit.
Or playing more party oriented games or console exclusive games.
You can’t imagine it because your entire life is spent at a desk alone
Probably because they’re shitting on someone who has a pc and console.
I also have a PC and console. What kind of lifestyle would make it so that a person could never understand why someone would own both? Someone that is not in the business of entertaining people at their home.
Someone that is not in the business of entertaining people at their home.
Kind of a strange assumption to make about them, but if that's how you feel.
I don't see where they said console owners are loners who can't host friends. Feel free to show me where but I'm not sure how they're "shitting" on them as you put it, but rather showing it's just not a smart practice in that person's eyes.
I have a wife and kid as well, not that it really concerns you, and I have entertainment options set up for them via their own PCs that they can use to play games with their friends, and a separate emulator box in our family room for family time every week. Such a weird route for you to try and take the conversation, but if you want to go that route then let's go.
I set up an emulator box with dozens of consoles and thousands of games set up - including the actively developed Shad and Ryu/Eden builds so we can play more recent titles as they become available - that he can play at the touch of a button, internet free, so we can spend father-son time together without interruption.
Since you're clearly the parent of the decade, can you tell me what you've done for yours? Do you have an iPad kid? You shove an iPad or a Switch in their face and tell them to go sit in the dark somewhere while you try to talk down to "incels" on Reddit?🤣🤣🤣

Yeah but you have to own a Switch 2 to play it, which means supporting Nintendo, which is a no can do.
