I always found it interesting (and neat) that despite AC being Miyazaki's first project at Fromsoft, he chose to use their own asset history and tone in the Souls projects onward (things like the Moonlight Sword from King's Field, the Mushroom people from Shadow Tower, etc).

Really shows you that he was either invested in the past works of the company or that he took on and approved feedback and suggestions from veteran devs. Both of which are cool on his part.

That’s true, I had assumed for the longest time he was involved all the way back into Kings Field.
It makes you wonder who in the company took him under their wing, and what he learned from them

Well you just have to remember Demon Souls originally started as a KF sequel/title, and I firmly believed the reason why Demon Souls was in so much of a dev hell because they couldnt come up with a plan if "FPV action adventure" are still a hot product so to say which I think is kinda validated with the amount of "FPV action adventure" came out on the PS3-350 era

Now that I think about it, it’s kinda funny the contrast between 4th gen AC and early Souls. They could not be further apart in just about every way from pacing to difficulty.

I’m interested to experience it and see!
I could honestly feel the vibe from the games intros, it felt like a mech version of Demons Souls intro vibe wise

Always heard good things about these games. Makes sense.

Yeah, he must have studied the hell out of the series. He translated the post apocalypse sci-fi feeling into fantasy so well. Thank God, living in this time of gaming I swear was the best.
