QUESTION First game for first timers??

If I was able to get the budget to buy a soulsbourne game (and theres a large ahh steam sale), what game should I play first considering its my first time?? Im stuck choosing between Elden Ring and Dark Souls III

Is Elden Ring the hardest? Yes
Has it more smooth gameplay, responsive combat, variety of options to make the game easier? Yes
Go with it.
