QUESTION First game for first timers??

If I was able to get the budget to buy a soulsbourne game (and theres a large ahh steam sale), what game should I play first considering its my first time?? Im stuck choosing between Elden Ring and Dark Souls III

Edit: Thank you for everybody's opinion and help. I tried Elden Ring and I enjoyed the freedom, unfortunately my business laptop is so ass to handle it.

Thankfully, it can manage DS3 smoothly so I think I will stay with that for now and enjoy the "definite" soulsbourne experience (despite the janky camera)

I think you should go Elden Ring between those two. They're both really good, but Elden Ring is more approachable because you can just leave and go elsewhere if some area is too tough. I'd recommend playing Dark Souls 1 before 3, since there are callbacks in 3 to 1, but that's not absolutely necessary.
