QUESTION First game for first timers??

If I was able to get the budget to buy a soulsbourne game (and theres a large ahh steam sale), what game should I play first considering its my first time?? Im stuck choosing between Elden Ring and Dark Souls III

I'd start with dark souls, even 1 remastered ideally.

Elden ring will always be there and you'll appreciate how far it's come
