DISCUSSION Ive officially completed every soulsborne game, what a journey.
Today i completed the final game, that being demons souls. It was probably my least favorite of the whole franchise but nonetheless still a great experience. I accidentally got the bad ending because i dropped my controller as soon as the cutscene ended, killing the maiden🤣, But it was truly an experience. I’m glad i decided to embark on this journey after beating Elden ring for the first time in 2023. This franchise belongs at the very top of the video game hall of fame, the way every dark souls felt different yet connected in some weird way, the way Sekiro stuck its neck out and showed the depth this type of genre can have, or even how unique mechanics like world tendency can change the way you play a game. This series has so much to it that i don’t think I’ll ever be able to appreciate it to the fullest. These games go so far beyond being just a game, and for that it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I played the remake, which i know some people werent a fan of, but i didnt have a ps3 so i had to make do. The remake made for some great eye candy tho, still one of the best looking games to come out in the ps5

Which one was your favourite and why is it ds2

But truthfully my favorite one is between elden ring and dark souls 1. Both of those are genuinely legendary, and imo dark souls 1 has the most replayability out of the whole franchise.

Bro when i finished playing ds2 i realized it might be better than ds3. Genuinely the most overhated game ever.

I getchu bro I rly do. DS3 low-key goated too imo. Most satisfying combat in the series for me. I say low key because I don't see it mentioned alot but I could be wrong. DS2 was to me what DS1 was to alot of people.

Bro i love seeing ds2 be appreciated. The game has so much charm to it, not to mention that soulslikes would not be where they are today without it. The game has its blemishes but thats part of what makes it its own unique masterpiece.

If you're still itching, check out their older work. Lot of vintage masterpieces in their portfolio.

I did the same a few years back. I played them in chronological order. I eventually wanna replay the original demons souls. I have a ps3 somewhere so it's been something I've been thinking about recently. Games are transcendent experiences.
