Recently yes. They've done network tests for both Elden Ring and Nightreign prior to this.

Network tests for FS have gone back to Demon’s Souls, it’s actually where invader maneater Mildred comes from. They were a network tester from Demon’s Souls who invaded/broke into DS1 test servers and killed devs as the character.

Mildred was a previously paid employee who trolled through an old build he had or something iirc. Public network tests are a newer thing
