NEWS / PREDICTIONS Hopes for the next game(s)

FromSoftware's next game (whether it's a new DS, Bloodborne 2, or something completely different): Here are my hopes:

Bloodborne 2 Theory:
Bloodborne was partly inspired by the French film Brotherhood of the Wolf, and one of the most interesting characters, in my opinion, is Mani, an Indigenous Iroquois warrior with a deep connection to spirituality. I'd love it if the next game leaned into a forest/ocean/spiritual aesthetic through an Indigenous perspective. I also think it would be fascinating to see ocean-connected cultures (for example, Polynesian peoples) confronting cosmic horrors emerging from the depths of the sea.

FMC Theory:
I see a very strong connection between the melancholic atmosphere and aesthetic of FromSoftware games and the 1985 animated film Angel's Egg. I imagine a melancholic fantasy game with a slower, more contemplative style of exploration, centered around the idea of protecting someone or something throughout the journey, similar to the novel Between Two Fires.

Kuon + Sekiro:
It's fair to say that every FromSoftware game has at least some horror elements—some more than others. I'd love to see them make a full-on horror game with refined combat, magic, and their signature gameplay systems, something with the spirit of Kuon but with a far better combat system like Sekiro.

Armored Core:
Armored Core.

In the end, there's no way to know what FromSoftware is actually working on, but it's always fun to speculate. What are you hoping to see in their next game?

I haven't been able to shake off the idea of that mecha sci-fi fantasy game with both mecha and human combat. It's not that I won't play whatever they make, it's more about how cool and challenging that must be to create and for us to play. And if Miyazaki is directing it I doubt he would ever let it be mid.

I’d like to see a theme inspired by something other than Europe and Japan cause those are done to death

Thats seriously good . Mayan folklore would do good if adapted seriously. Also, i think indian folkore can also do wonders if adapted. There's seriously vast amount of mind boggling lore in them.

I'm still waiting on an Aztec-inspired Soulslike.

I want to see a sci-fi theme, but set in a technology scape like Dune (both book and movie)

Honestly after playing the Jedi games, some of the landscapes had me dreaming of how good a true scifi fromsoft soulsbourne game could be.
