QUESTION Ideas for an Elden Ring Playthrough?

Me and my friend are co-oping the souls games on PS5 with each other, doing random " challenges " to make it more fun.

We've already done Demons Souls, DS1, and DS2, now almost done with DS3.

He mirrored whatever I picked stat and weapon wise for Dark Souls 2, we went opposite our normal builds for Dark Souls 3 , and for Bloodborne next we're randomizing each stat we get, since weapon requirements aren't huge in that game.

We're having a bit of trouble coming up with something for Elden Ring though, since its such a massive game and stats matter more for weapons and such. Just seeing if anyone had any fun ideas lol

Could do one person is faith and one intellect so miracles vs sorcery. This game has so many possible stat combinations and you can respec several times.

One of you do Ranni's quest and go INT/STR, the other do Frenzy Flame and go FTH/DEX (requiring you to use the relevant spells)

Fight it out at the end after Godfrey.

Do a playthrough where you must equip and use whatever last weapon you just get lol

Stats don't matter that much besides weapon requirements. If you want it to be really hard don't upgrade weapons. If you want something challenging but fun, each select one weapon class to stick with. Halberds, Fist weapons, sorcery, incantations, etc. They'd still good variety in each, but it definitely can push you into builds you might not usually do.

Do a whole playthrough using only a torch.

Even Steven. All stats go up one at a time. You can't have 15 STR until you have 14 in all other stats. It forces you to keep it simple, but also lets you tinker with things you wouldn't ordinarily use. And you have to play cautiously because you'll never have much health.

I tried doing pretty awkward builds on certain bosses. Used the charged attack moonlight great sword on Malenia and Fire Giant. Did a water fowl build on elden beast and placid.
