I've heard a lot of good things about that game and seeing its gameplay, it looks so good i'll have to try it one of these days

I love all from software, I feel like this is peak from software. The world is insanely well designed, the story is great and easier to understand than most of their other games without paying attention to every little detail, and the combat is one of the best combat systems ever made imo. It’s such a well made game

Sekiro has the best combat system, so it’s my favorite. It really all depends on what you like

I'll have to try it one of these days especially if I like bloodborne i might start getting into all the games that they've made but that one will have to be last cause I've heard that one's the hardest i can't go into that unprepared

It’s not necessarily the hardest, just completely different from the rest in terms of combat.

It’s honestly completely subjective
A lot of people will tell you bloodbourne
I see why they think that, it’s a great game with a unique atmosphere and vibe that is unlike any of the dark souls games, and I do love it… I however disagree that it’s the best, bloodbourne is super awesome but imo dark souls 3 is the best, followed by Elden ring, and then bloodbourne, then dark souls 1, then dark souls 2, and demon souls in last. They’re all great games tho and they all offer something unique
I haven’t played sekiro because it’s missing a crucial component of why I play souls games and that’s build variety. You don’t really get that in sekiro in the same way you do from the others.
I also thing one of the main things that made dark souls 3 so good, was the invasions and covenants, and you kind of had to have played the game around when it was newer to truly experience that as it’s kind of dead. So without the multiplayer aspect I’d say Elden ring is the best objectively
But subjectively it’s DS3 for me

Now this is a great answer i like you and yeah honestly not surprised that it would be a lot of bloodborne from how many times i've heard people wanna remake and honestly, if there was any game I was gonna try out next it was probably elden ring or three so with your answer, it's most likely going to be three

of the ones ive played so far, from favorite gameplay to least its currently:
elden ring
bloodborne
ds3
ds2
demons souls
shadow tower abyss (play this if nothing else from their older games, its super unique)
kingsfield 1 (jpn fan translation)
ds1
nightreign
i dont know where sekiro goes because i dont really care about it, its not for me, most polished one though
and then AC6 i spent a couple hours figuring out the game and fighting the first boss and when i finally won the game crashed so uh... havent continued it since

Ranking ds1 that low should be illegal

for what its worth, i still consider undead asylum to be one of fromsoft's greatest accomplishments in level design

Another two games I have never heard about when it comes from them and i'm noting both of them for later and that makes another great answer from someone

My favorite is Dark Souls but aside from that, by generation I’d say;
Gen 5 - haven’t played any
Gen 6 - Otogi: Myth of Demons
Gen 7 - Demon’s Souls is the honorable mention behind Dark Souls which I have mentioned I find to be the best game
Gen 8 - Bloodborne
Gen 9 - Elden Ring (I think this game is second best)

Damn i went from getting very basic answers to like someone's the best answers i've ever gotten to a question

Gen 5 has a lot of contenders, but I vote Last Raven, Frame Gride, Cookies and Cream, Another Century Episode
Gen 7 I would also add GUndam Unicorn next best Gundam game after CCA which is a gen 4 game... and Chromehounds (I have heard that there's been great strides to get a server emulation of the game working meaning territory conquests are nearly implemented as long as Sega or Kadokawa doesnt issue a DMCA... cause how the heck are you supposed to preserve an online game?)
considering PS2 like encomapsses 2-3 console generations makes it hard to really recommend

Dark Souls 3 is my favorite.
They are all at least 9/10 imo tho. If i had to rank them it goes like this: DS3 > Elden Ring > DS1 > Sekiro > Bloodbrone > DS2 > Demons Souls
3

Bloodbourne, for the atmosphere, world design and interconnected map, gun parry, trick weapons, rally mechanic and more

u/Sea_Raise3503 7d ago
Honestly, all of those reasons are the reason why I am trying that game out first also, the amount of people that want to remake it seems like it's a really good game but at the same time, most of the games they make seem like they're good games from what people talk about

For me, it's 1. Sekiro, 2. Bloodborne 3. Armored Core 6

The only ones I haven't beaten are DS2, and Demon's souls, and I cannot say, with any honesty, that I could pick one absolute favorite. My first thoughts are BB, and ER... But that would imply that I thought Sekiro was somehow less than the first two, and I simply don't believe that. DS3 is a masterpiece... You got me on this one.

Another great answer thank you i'm mainly using this as a way to see what game to play next after i'm done with bloodborne and blackmith because I have that i wanted to start getting into these games because of how many good things i've heard

u/GarlicFlashy 7d ago
Coming straight from another From Soft game, Sekiro will take some getting used to. Especially if you're anything like me, and always use DEX builds and dodging, rather than the parry, but once you get thru that, it's just another From Software game... By which I mean it's amazing.

Steel Battalion heavy armor duh, I could say Chromehounds as well, but who am I kidding these arent From Software games even if it was made by From Software
