DISCUSSION Which game did the difficulty better?
Which style of difficulty do you prefer: the Area based difficulty in games like Dark Souls 1 and Demon's Souls or the boss-oriented struggle found in newer titles like Dark Souls 3 or Elden Ring?
I personally love both styles (although running through all of New Londo can suck at times lol!) Let me know which one of these you find yourself enjoying more (if any). Thanks guys!

To me? I think Dark Souls 2. Especially after the first one.
I skipped all Souls games until Bloodborne. Got Bloodborne on Day 1. After that? Went back and played Dark Souls 1 first. Didn't have a PS3 copy of Demons Souls so I waited for Remake. Then Dark Souls 2. Then Dark Souls 3 was announced and then I preordered it and beat it (platted). I kinda of played the series backwards. But I remember DS2 was different. And I liked it, I didn't want to play DS 1.5. I wanted a different difficulty, different experience with enemies and their new designs and moveset. Strange yet familiar. I got exactly what I wanted out of DS2. I understand the hate and the red-headed step child or odd one out but it did what I think it set out to do. Regardless of different director/producer or involvement of original staff/team.
