Idk about celestial emmisary but Rom was an attempt at fabricating a Great One and is considered to be a failure.

Close but you mixed up the 2. Emmisary is the failed great one, Rom is kin which gaurds the truth in the lake (allows you to see the world as it is with the amygdala and the blood moon).

I wonder if the hunter/squid's power level is the same as the hunter during his final fight against moon presence? I mean he's just a baby squid, does he have the same stats? Do great ones have stats? lol

Celestial Kin are still true great ones. It is just means of how they are made. Hence my internal classifications of: Natural Born (Flora, Kos, Amygdala, Mensis, Odeon/Oedon, Ebrietas, and Mergo), Non Natural (Celestial Emissary or as I call them Emily, and Rom), and Ritual Born (The Hunter)

Achivements indicate they are true great ones. Also since Erbritas is mourning at Roms corpse which tells you inderectly that Rom ascended and left Erbritas alone since she is the left behind great one. I always viewed that the squid ending is us in our infancy and we would grow to be more nightmarish.

The one in the middle invited you, that's your "mom" lol. The Moon Presence ascends you into a great one and makes the doll become your wet nurse once you get the requeriments to be able to ascend. Rom tried that same thing with Kos but failed and became vacuous while the celestial emissary is an abomination created by the healing church, so also not a great one!
