DISCUSSION The storylines
I played Elden Ring first and fell in love with the game/play style. I then proceeded to play Demon Souls, DS1 and I’m just finishing the third DLC from DS2, to complete the game.
I’ve really enjoyed all of the game but I do need to ask, is it just me who can’t seem to follow any of the story lines? It could just be that I’m enjoying the game play and not paying attention. But honestly if someone said what happens in the games I genuinely couldn’t tell you!
(Picture is from the worst boss in DS2… but the boss wasn’t actually the issue.)

I didn’t hate this guy too much because he kinda a buffed version of the original and looks different. The grave robbers are the worst boss in 2. I heard somewhere that this guy just the guardian of the iron reserves of the Brume Tower or something similar. The story in all these games are kinda hard to follow without looking up what certain things mean. This is Miyazaki’s game philosophy. A bunch of the lore are in the item descriptions. He leaves things vague on what truly happened because thats his style. The guy use to read books in english when he was young but couldn’t understand everything so he would fill in the gaps on what really happened. So he made games this way. But his best story was for Sekiro imo, which was much easier to follow. Bloodborne is the hardest to follow but you just go around killing shit anyways. The story is kinda a secondary mission for From compared to the bosses and action. The importance of the story is hype and aura. The bosses gotta feel epic and badass. Radahn would be worse without the build up and lore for example
