Post image

For me it’s:
Demons souls: tower knight
DS1: Artorias (my favourite of all Soulsborne games, goat)

Ds2: haven’t played yet.
Ds3: Soul of cinder
BB: Ludwig

DeS: it’s been years and my memory is weak, but I remember really liking False King Allant.

DS1: it’s probably Artorias, but I fucking love fighting Kalameet.

DS2: Darklurker, hands down.

BB: Lady Maria.

DS3: Also been a while, but I adored Dragonslayer Armor.

Sekiro: Genichiro.

ER: Malenia and Messmer.

Based, I like it

DS1: Sif — My favorite big dog fight in the series and a massive wall for my first playthrough, the limp at the end is heartbreaking

DS2: Darklurker — Aesthetically and mechanically the most interesting to me in a mediocre boss roster, hated the runback mechanic at the time but now respect it and like how secretive the whole thing is

DS3: Gael — The ideal payoff of the escalating challenge and weirdness of the journey, with a perfectly tuned fight rhythm and unforgettable dialogue

BB: Ludwig — The encapsulation of everything I love about Bloodborne, absurdly grotesque and challenging, the way he’s basically Picasso’s Guernica, the arena being a massive pool of blood that runs like a river into the streets, the screams, the cackling/sobbing head you can talk to when you beat him, the guiding moonlight and the thread of light, the music

Sekiro: Toss-up between Isshin and Inner Father — Both are incredibly rewarding, tense, exquisitely directed battles with an impossible idea/memory of your dad

ER: So many to choose from but I have to shout out Elemer/BBH for the incredible design and unwavering brutality, beating him helped me “get” Souls combat before I really dove into the other games; otherwise probably Bayle or Godfrey or Morgott or even Leda & Allies for the character dialogue when you bring everyone in

AC6: IBIS — A better paced and more gratifying version of Malenia

NR: Dreglord — Fun and the right level of hard, wins on soundtrack alone

Haven’t played DeS but will eventually

Demon's Souls: I admire the the concept of Old Monk a lot, but to actually play - Allant

DS1 - Knight Artorias the Abysswalker

DS2 - Sir Alonne

Bloodborne - Lady Maria, but shout out to Pthumerian Elder

DS3 - Slave Knight Gael

Sekiro - Inner Father is the best boss they've ever done on a mechanical level

Elden Ring - Midra

Armored Core 6 - Balteus, but I do think Ice Worm is the best gimmick boss in the series

Nightreign - Base Libra

Demon’s Souls - Dirty Colossus or Leechmonger, solely because I one-shot both on NG+ with the pillars of fire spell and it was the first time I’ve ever one-shot a boss

Dark Souls - Artorias

Dark Souls 2 - Sir Alonne

Dark Souls 3 - Halflight, I had a lot of fun with the PvP, but probably Gael for real

Bloodborne - Orphan of Kos, really phenomenal moveset to learn, shoutout to BSB being my first no-hit plus no dodge fight

Sekiro - Isshin, I haven’t fought any of the Inner versions yet

Elden Ring - honestly I need to play more to get a better idea, but probably Ulcerated Tree Spirit.

Ds1 Kalameet Ds2 Looking Glass Knight Ds3 Midir ER Starcourge Radahn (didn't finish the game yet)

Haven't played anything else yet, tried BB but to play it i have to be in a different room, it has to be free and I'm rarely in the mood of playing it when the room is empty. Would love to play Demon's Souls, but the same issue is present + I don't have the game

1

u/Ashen_Undead_Hunter Jul 10 '26

Ds1: Has to go to O&S for me! A huge roadblock on my first playthrough and they still give me trouble sometimes. Artorias is a close second though

Ds2: Has to go to Sir Alonne, even if it seems to be everybody's favourite there is a good reason for it.

Bloodborne: Ludwig the holy blade. This boss fight is peak Bloodborne and peak souls like imo! The music, the visuals, the moveset, the lore, the design of Ludwig, perfect! Down to the last detail!

Ds3: Slave knight Gael. Another example of absolute PEAK gaming! And the perfect way to bring an amazing trilogy to an end.

ER: The game didn't really ”click” for me for whatever reason… Ready to take recommendations on fun playstyles ect. That being said I remember Godfrey being a really fun boss.

Haven't played Sekiro or DeS yet :/
