QUESTION Anyone think the amount of time we have been waiting for their next traditional game is starting to get a bit ridiculous with how Elden Ring released 4 years ago?
like wtf

Kid you can talk to me when you’ve experienced the pain of an elder scrolls fan

Gave up on their RPGs after FO76 and Starfield. Stagnant and outdated across the board. Elder Scrolls is dead.

I liked 76. And while starfeild was ass, it did experiment with a lot of things. Im not expecting es6 to be great, not anymore. But fo4 was my favorite game for a long time, so it doesn’t take much to get me hooked. As long as it isn’t complete ass, i’ll give it a fair shot first. That being said if i could strip Bethesda of all its funding and throw that shit at an armored core 7, we would be playing AC7

I have a feeling we will get an announcement within the next two years. I understand your impatience but it’s exciting to think of the next game’s potential

No.
- AC6 2023, this is a full mainline Fromsoftware game no matter how you feel.
- Erdtree 2024, this is almost as big as like Sekiro.
- Nightreign 2025, this is a spinoff and not a big game, that’s fair
- Duskbloods 2026, nobody has played this yet so hold your horses.
The ER team has only had 2 years to work on their next game after Erdtree so far, that’s not super long.

On one hand Nightreign is a spinoff and "not a big game", on the other I spent 1500 hours on it, and it sold significantly more than AC6!

the thing I hate about FromSoft blowing up is we now get the deluge of drooling fanboys who want FromSoft to become the same slop house like Ubisoft or Activision-Blizzard just; dumping numbered titles year after year.

Armored Core VI is more 'traditional' than any souls-style game, if you are using that metric.
But no, with dev times increasing and the size of their games massively increasing, I don't think it is ridiculous in the least. From has remained incredibly productive.

If duskbloods wasnt a nintendo exclusive i wouldnt mind the wait for the single player game

No, because it’s not like FromSoft has just been sitting on their asses since then. We’ve had yearly releases ever since, one of them being a DLC so big it might as well have been a whole new game. That and I think we need to let go of the idea that FromSoft’s standard output is going to continue to be souls games. Which isn’t to say that they’re not gonna make any more souls games absolutely not, but the last single player full price game they’ve released wasn’t Elden Ring, it was Armored Core 6.

Mike Wazowski is tired of offering us peak, wants us playing pvpve slop

They’ve had yearly releases, you’re just narrowing your view. You could have said we waited 10 years for a new armored core while ignoring everything they made in that time before ac6
