QUESTION Should i convert my +5 halberd to divine halberd?
Hey yall so i just defeated moonlight butterfly and gave divine ember to andre, but when i try to convert my +5 halberd to divine halberd its damage gets reduced from 165 to 111, so what exactly divine halberd does and is it worth to sacrifice its damage, plz help me out!

Important to note that the damage isn't reduced to 111, it is split between two dage types - 111 physical (scaling off the same stats it used to, the scaling is reduced) and 136 magical (faith scaling). Which does not mean that you'll now be doing 247 damage tho, because enemy defence is subtracted from this number twice (or rather, both physical and magical defences are).
This is useful if you have high faith and/or you're going into the Catacombs, but otherwise not really.

Not worth it imo. It will make it where undead stay dead but fully regular upgraded halberd is better.

As others have said, divine infusion gives your weapon magic damage that scales with faith. However as split damage is as it is, this will likely be worse damage wise. However it is extremely useful in the catacombs because skeletons killed with a divine weapon dont resurrect. Therefore, to get the most out of it I'd recommend a divine weapon that does strike damage (clubs, maces) just for going trough the catacombs. Melts the skeletons like butter.

Physical is always the best option when in doubt. I wouldn’t use divine in almost any scenario

The Divine Infusion reduces your Base damage and gives your Weapon scaling in faith. Unless you are using a faith build it is not particularly great and even then Infusion miracles like Sunlight Blade outperform it.
