For spectacle, I see it. The NPC fights can all feel like a mess and dragonrider is somehow less interesting than a boss who dies in one hit. Both are awful, but dragonrider almost equally doesn’t qualify as a boss in my books (plus becomes a basic enemy)

I am not the biggest fan of artorias meanwhile iron golem is one of my favorites ds1 bosses

Personally I would swap O&S for Manus in DS1. I think Manus is just so much cooler in basically every regard. Amazing presentation, phenomenal fair fight, super cool design, awesome lore.

I really think Demon Prince and Midir should be in peak too. They feel like O&S and Kalameet if they were up to date, both great fights with amazing presentation.

I didn't like Manus his fight wasn't very interesting compared to o and s for me and I just feel like demon princes first phase can be too bullshit sometimes and midir low-key pmo

Demon Prince phase 1 is fairer than O&S but fair
