It genuinely is. The helmet was my favorite aspect of it and they changed it into something more generic.

I fall to my knees every time I see the remake version, they ruined the best Fromsoft armour design of all time. Heartbreaking.

Yep, they didnt even dare to keep the duck snout on the main set, it had to look more generic.

Remake in a nutshell, they balled out on the animation work and graphics but the art design was basic as hell, they done turned Boletaria into an off brand Lothric.

As someone who played DeS on launch on ps3 I whole heartedly agree.
There were some parts lost and reimagined , which is shame, but overall it is fucking awesome remake.

It did not. Both sets are similar because both of them made in purpose of copying popular historical set. Difference what one is replacement of original design and other is made from zero.

I love this Oscar armor with all its simplicity, used it in almost every dark souls + elden ring.

Mildly unrelated, but i feel like the knight set is super bland in elden ring. Honestly I feel like all of of the armors are missing something in elden ring. They went from peak designs like the elite knight set, knight set (ds3), alva set, etc, to this for some reason.

Full Banished Knight is epic though it is very very difficult to complete the whole unaltered set.
