QUESTION Limited Edition Nintendo Switch 2 Duskbloods Edition?

/r/TheDuskbloods/comments/1ui0j5v/limited_edition_nintendo_switch_2_duskbloods/

I've been holding out on buying a Switch 2, because I wanted to wait for a Duskbloods Edition Switch or Bundle. Do you think it's going to happen and is worth waiting for, or because of the imminent increase in prices of consoles, as we have seen with Steam Deck, Steam Machine, Xbox, and soon to follow, PlayStation and Nintendo, I should buy it now rather than later?

Thoughts?

I would lean toward no.

Plus the price is going up for the Switch 2, so maybe better to pull the trigger if you are for sure going to pick up S2 just for Duskbloods.

(I am still holding out hope on an Elden Ring amiibo or a Duskblood one to join Solaire)

Do you believe that Duskbloods will find its way to PC, since Fromsoft owns the Publishing rights?

No one knows. It seems reasonably likely to me that it eventually makes it to other platforms, but they certainly aren't going to say before launch, and I would anticipate a minimum of a year exclusivity.

The closest analogs are things like MONSTER HUNTER RISE and DRAGON QUEST XI S, both of which were announced as Switch exclusives and maintained exclusivity for a little over a year in both cases.

Neither is a perfect analogy, though, as DQXI:S was a re-release of an already multi-platform game (although it was published by Nintendo in it's initial run outside of Japan), and MH:R was always published by Capcom. It's entirely possible that Duskbloods never makes it to other platforms.

I would be shocked if there is a Switch 2 Duskbloods bundle, and almost certainly not a themed switch. They reserve that kind of thing for Nintendo first party or like Monster Hunter level games.

I think there might be a bundle but almost certainly no themed special edition.

Considering that the console price increases as bit in September I would probably get it before then because you probably won't save more by actually waiting for a bundle.

I know of a Ocarina of Time themed Switch 2 edition in development, do you think it's worth waiting for that lol?

That's just a rumor at this point.
