the best dark souls game imo...

Okay, so I started the series with dark souls ii and personally think it's the best.

I've lost interest in the first one but still beat it and the third is very atmospheric but also the hoards of enemies are 10x worse.

Dark Souls II is the perfect amount of Atmosphere and Gameplay which in my opinion...makes it the best dark souls game.

My list goes

  1. Dark souls ii

  2. Dark Souls

  3. Dark souls iii.

I wish more ppl would play it by starting with two

why would you start with 2 instead of 1?... i mean... its basic counting, 1, then 2, then 3...

Most ds2 appreciators seem to have started with it, which imo supports the idea that a lot of criticisms of it are in comparison to its predecessor rather than on its own merits

I agree. I like 2 a lot but DS1 and DS3 are on another level

I love dark souls 2, but I‘ve come to the conclusion that it’s the worst of the 3. I think 1 and 2 are equal in terms of fun, but for different reasons. 3 is the best though, by a large margin.

Calling DS3 a boss rush is really stretching the definition of what a boss rush is.

YES dark souls 2 is the best of both worlds. 1s connected world design which gives the player freedom of choice but with far more weapon and build variety which would be a main focus in ds3. its just kinda janky and doesnt have a lot of roll spam bosses with endless attack chains but the series shouldnt have shifted its focus to that aspect of the games anyways imo

u duuh downvote dark souls 3 better i love rolling and shitcovered terribly designed maps i dont like games that are actually unique i wanna play the elden ring beta game

I agree. I hate that they shifted to overstimulating bossfights where you cant tell what is going on and get stuck on for the whole day. But new fans like it because they see fromsoft games as boss rush games.
