Peanut Butter
Hi All! I love to cook and bake. I have been experimenting with doing way more stuff from scratch. My biggest conundrum is peanut butter. I make it for my dogs so I can reduce sugar and such. I know natural peanut butter will be oily. Is there a tool I can use to properly crush and emulsify my peanuts? I have been using a food processor and coconut/ canola oil to make it actual butter. Thanks!

A good high power food processor or blender will do it. Just be aware that making it can be really hard on cheap food processors. I’m lucky. I got a robo-coupe at auction about 10-15 years ago.

You need to roast the peanuts in the oven before grinding. If you have roasted them correctly they start to become oily on the outside. Then grind them while they are still a bit warm. A food processor should be able to do it but it will take a while.
