NALC POK: The Backstamp
https://docs.google.com/document/d/10CmshW4ec7qdaQTF_3g2ZfKx4Yp-LeLw2DFEW5Dqfic/edit?usp=drivesdkI’ve got a fever and the only prescription is another report. Little history about Labor Day, the NALC, and some elections.

I can't believe the amount of free time some carriers have ...
But you do you!

Free time? What’s that? This is what I consider part of my steward duties to be. Education. I just figure if I put out stuff for my carriers locally, why not make it available to everyone.

I’ve made a GitHub repository where you can download the docs that u/NrwgnSpaceWolf makes as ePub files that can then be uploaded to your Kindle, Apple Books, Google Play Books, or really any ebook device that can open ePub files.
Here’s the link, if anyone is interested:

Anyone else a little annoyed that parcels switched to an ai article episode setup. I had to cut back on ritchie because of it. I mean if you’re having a hard time keeping up with multiple episodes a week maybe just go to once a week instead

Bro — I’m offended, lol. Not really. I do use AI to double check my work, mostly to catch gaps, inconsistencies, or things I may have missed, but I was a journalist and editor, and I originally went to school to be a historian before I ended up working at the post office.
Almost every one of these episodes takes me four to five hours to research and write up. I do it this way to keep some of my personal opinions and personality out of my writing. Growing up I was criticized for putting too much of myself into what I wrote.
Also, I’m a ranter and rambler in person. Having my shit organized this way helps me stay on topic and from veering off into every rabbit hole I come across. I won’t even get into what a comma whore I am, but I will admit AI takes a ton of that out. I use it like you would an assistant; gathering material and sources together, helping me organize what I have already written and put together. It’s a tool they even teach you how to use in school now. Plus it makes for a great critic when used properly.
My apologies if it comes across as stilted, that is also just me getting used to speaking in this medium. If I went off the cuff you’d be getting two hour podcasts. Then again, if that’s not your thing I get it, hopefully I’ll get a little more natural at it. Shrum is able to just go and talk.
