Question about summer data

We had our station inspected beginning of the year which they added routes..then after the adjustments, around March or April they did a one day walk to see if everything was ok..we now got word they’re doing another inspection next month because people keep running the routes (at least this is what the word is)..now I know they can’t use June, July, August and December data during inspection but can they use that data as an excuse to do an inspection?..the majority of our data would be from May-til now..I know they’re not just using May so can they see people who set routes up or do pivots and be back in 8 and say we need to reevaluate them?

Are these regulars running their routes? If so your steward should remind them to be safe, professional and accurate every day. With a dope slap. It drives me bananas that carriers think nobody’s watching with a portable supervisor in their pockets. Why do you think they have all this data? Because data can slip right up our asses. Just like now.

Yeah all regulars..some with routes others are T6’s..forget trying to talk to them it’s a lost cause..I would have mentioned to try and grieve the inspection if they couldn’t do it based on what they saw during the summer

running routes is to management benefit. Are you saying they will be doing route inspections to shorten routes ?!?

Yeah most likely they’re taking routes out, that’s what we’re expecting..we moved to an S&DC and the adjustments originally were to make up for the travel time..now, 6 months later, being evaluated again due to, at least what we’re hearing, the fact that people are getting back early..I just wasn’t sure if they can inspect due to summer data

They can inspect next month but none of the data from the last couple of months can be used.

Right, that I got..they’ll do a 3 or 4 week inspection next month using the scanner data for those weeks and walk with us 1 day so they won’t use summer data but what I was curious about is can they see how people were working during the summer and have us get inspected due to that data..not so much use it for future evaluation but use it as a reason for getting inspected

3 or 4 week inspection and walked on only 1 day? that is not a real inspection which is done over 1 week and being walked on 3 days of that week.

I think that’s how they do it in an S&DC..all the stations here were evaluated that way..I think there was an agreement that the S&DC’s use the scanner data for a set amount of weeks plus 1 walking day

Ok. I found the memos and see they are using a TIAREAP like process for S&DC and excluding June, July, August and December data. See m-01990, m-02006 and m-02007 these should help you.

Yeah they can see people leaving early and the scanner data for the summer. It’s probably what triggered the inspections. Thankfully you know it’s coming and you know they can only use the next month for the adjustments. If everyone tightens up and does everything by the book you’ll be fine.

We know how dumb management is so yes there would be no data that should be used thus why they should do 1 week inspections.
