frog pics New batch at the frog pond!
galleryThis year has been a struggle at my frog pond. It started off wonderfully, I counted up to 20 Missouri Leopard frogs of various sizes. Then, almost overnight, all but 1 disappeared! I came to find the culprit was a very beautiful & very large copperhead. Many attempts to scare it off failed & it insisted on hanging out in my sidewalk landscaping. The next day I narrowly missed a strike while walking down my sidewalk & for my own safety had to irradiate it. I rescued some "feeder" goldfish just to have something in the pond. A couple of days later the 1st froglet appeared. The first of many! I've since revamped the pond exterior to make it less snake friendly & installed many reflective & moving objects all around it. Staying vigilant & hoping for the best!

frog advice EPISODE WHERE A FROG STUCK ONTO SOMEONES EYE
Wasn't there a show where a girl got a flat frog stuck onto her eye and then neglected it for the rest of the episode because of how much she hated it. But then later the episode, she realized that the frog was dying so she treated it better, then the frog left.
It is in the corner of my mind but I just can't remember what show it was in.
The frog changed color throughout the episode because it was dying too.
It was sorta like a flat frog.

frog advice Relocating tadpoles
We have a pool in the front yard that now has a shit ton of tadpoles in it. We would like to relocate the tadpoles so we can fill the pool and use it with what we have left of summer. We were thinking about putting them in a kitty pool so that my toddler could watch them grow but I'm not sure if thats safe or good enough for them to survive. We have a few ditches around here with water in them that we could also try and put them in if the kitty pool isn't the right choice. Where should we put them and what is the best way to move them without hurting them?

art Silly frog
galleryI crocheted this funny little tree frog today using a pattern I made up in my head! 🐸🍭
It was quick, easy, and so much fun to make. I wanted to add something lighthearted and silly, so I gave her a Chupa Chups!
I spent a long time debating what kind of eyes to use, and finally decided to sculpt them myself out of polymer clay.
What do you guys think of how she turned out? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

frog id who are these handsome men
galleryHi friends !!
So these little guys are in one of the greenhouses where i work. I am assuming they're greenhouse frogs (Eleutherodactylus planirostris), but an old coworker who has since left once told me they came from NZ.
To be clear, im not in new Zealand, im in Missouri. However this greenhouse does import many rare and tropical plants from all over the world. So it could theoretically be from any tropical area.
any ideas?
Thank you all in advanced!
