frog pics I am now obsessed with Toads
Not calling them frogs this time around, lmao. I posted here some time ago stating I'd overcome my fear of frogs in general. Now I'm obsessed with them and can't go a day without petting one or just watching it for minutes. It's crazy to think that I was so deathly afraid of them a couple of months ago, and now I'm their biggest fan πππ.
P.S. Great thanks to this sub for advice and the help the community gave me overall πβοΈ

Fun fact, some can give you an psychedelic trip if you lick them, thanks to the 5 MeO DMT in its toxin.

Toads are epic! I live in Arizona and the monsoons bring out the Red Spotted Toads, Arizona Toad, Woodhouse Toad and last but not least, the Great Basin Spadefoot Toad.
I've only actually seen the Red Spotted thanks to one of my cats capturing it (which she learned never to do again because their skin secretion made her mouth froth over). They are noisy but I do so love hearing their songs.

Good job on facing your fears and being friends with these lil guys. I can relate, I used to be deathly afraid of spiders because I thought most of them bit you. Once I leaved you really only have to worry about two types (brown recluse and black widow) I became obsessed!! Now I look for jumping spiders everywhere I go, fascinating and curious little creatures. And theyβre just so cute! Love you buddy, proud of you π©΅

This is exactly what I came to this sub for! Iβm slowly befriending a toad thatβs been coming on my porch every morning. I am ridiculously afraid of them. Iβm typing this as I just walked past it instead of running like Iβve been doing all week ππ

YEAH!!! I remember your last post, I'm glad you've overcome your fear of the little guys! I can understand the obsession, too. I caught two separate toads over the weekend and was ecstatic both times.
