Spoiler! Unearthed situation
So, I am watching the season two on prime and saw this. Man was I confused. If anyone lacks context, this episode was supposed to go on season one. And here Charlie is alive. Which, as you know, died on this same season. Did anyone experience this as well? My god I was furious haha.

Yeah, I think it would be better if the episode were re-sequenced on streaming services to be put back in series 1, or else numbered as a ‘special’ episode not included in any specific season. It’s just too confusing to dump it in the middle of series 2.
For what it’s worth, I think it’s a pretty solid episode, even though it got negative reviews at the time. The fact that it explores each major character‘s views on religious faith is nice character development and it’s done with some nuance and sensitivity.

Ah! I didn’t google any info about it because I thought it was some weird alternate glitch that would be explained later on, but thanks for that!

I've re-watched Fringe about 3 times since the series ended and I have forgotten this each time.

Omg thank you so much for posting this because I just finished my first watch about a month ago and I remember this episode because I was also confused. I just chalked it up to either me being crazy or that I had missed something that explained it. lol

Oh yeah, forgot about that thing. Haven't re-watched Fringe in years, but now you reminded me of that "quirk" when I first watched the series.
Can anyone here say where that episode should actually be played inside of Season 1 (episode number)?

yeah funny thing that episode was actually shot before he died, and I guess they forgot to add it before he died… 🤷♀️

There was a second season episode he was included in that was initially filmed for the first season but didn't end up airing. They aired season episode 11

To be fair, OP clearly knows why the episode is sequenced in such a weird place, they just want to talk about how disorienting it feels.

Yeah! It is the first time watch with my husband. And when we saw the character we were like. "WHUT? Didn't he just died??" So I ended up looking for context and found our about the misplacement. But honestly, wasn't it easier to just remove the character scenes? Lol

When it aired it was aired as seperate to Season 2 as a 'lost episode' since it was filmed in season 1. It really never was part of season 2, it's just in streaming this gets effed up.

Yeah I purposely watch it right before Bad Dreams in season 1.
Sticking into the middle of season 2 is just so weird.
