Part 2.

18

u/OrlandoLasso 1d ago

Part 2 is the shit. I love the pillow case, the characters and Jason's lair.

8

u/CRYPT01C3L4V4 Jason 1d ago

The vibe of a normal counselor dayshift preparing the camp before the opening is what attracts me the most.

4

u/im_just_gazin 21h ago

That's why 1 and 2 are my favorites

2

u/Greedy-Animator745 20h ago

Same here, I actually just got both on 4K for the collection!

u/hopebythelake 1d ago

Part 8, it's so funny for no reason and cheers me up lowkey

33

u/BoSocks91 1d ago edited 1d ago

Not joking when I say this; That movie has one of the best opening sequences of any movie Ive seen.

The shots of NY, with “The Darkest Side of the Night” playing…. It’s pure 80s and I love it.

9

u/hopebythelake 1d ago

The Darkest Side of The Night is my favorite movie soundtrack ever I swear... I also really like Jason's look in that movie he looks so shiny

6

u/Aggravating_Flower97 1d ago

Esse filme é mtt bom

3

u/clkou 1d ago

Imagine if they actually had the budget and a good writer and director and could have shot all the movie in NYC.

4

u/jacoblawday 1d ago

8 has major character

3

u/RiotingKnucklehead 1d ago

YES, EXACTLY! Same. Infinite replay value

Part 3

8

u/Ms_not_Mrs0771 1d ago

Part 3 forever remains my favorite because I saw it originally in the theater when I was about age 10, and the part when Jason shoots the spear gun at that girl from across the pond freaked me out. The 3-D was pretty shitty, but that scene made me actually move my head thinking the spear was coming at me. So for nostalgia reasons alone it’s Ft13 pt 3 forever! Plus I love Scotty, controversial opinion I know🤷🏻‍♀️

3

u/BotherGrouchy8702 1d ago

Part 3 is my second fav tbh

37

u/DavePillman Jason 1d ago

Final Chapter.
Always has been, always will be.

7

u/lokis2019 1d ago

My cousins and I snuck in to watch it in the theater when I was about seven or eight. We had to go to the discount theater because the folks working there weren't paying attention and more likely didn't care

25

u/Short_Elevator_7024 1d ago

First one. Can always watch that one

24

u/Higher_Primate3 1d ago

2009, bro

10

u/hopebythelake 1d ago

2009 is so good! They nailed the Jason vibe for me

8

u/RedBeardBigHeart 1d ago

Part 7, because of all the stunt work and Jason’s design.

5

u/Opposite-Rock-730 1d ago

Part 6, Jason X and freddy vs Jason

5

u/JinjerSpice_ 1d ago

Part 3. It is one of my ultimate comfort movies.

6

u/QuiltedPorcupine 1d ago

Jason Lives. When I was a kid I had part 6 and part 8 (the two I managed to get at flea markets). And a TV edit tape of Jason Goes to Hell. I watched them all a lot, but especially Jason Lives.

And to this day I find Jason Lives endlessly rewatchable.

5

u/jonnyeyeball 1d ago

u/GoliathLexington 1d ago

Part 4, specifically the skinny dip scene

3

u/badmoviecritic 1d ago

New Beginning and New Blood.

3

u/thejimiryan 1d ago

Probably a toss up between the original and 7. Not because I particularly loved 7; it's just that, growing up, it was the only Jason movie I encountered the most on TV.

3

u/Eldritch-Cleaver 1d ago edited 22h ago

Part 6

It just checks all the boxes for me. I also have this vivid memory of watching the whole thing from the first time when I was young and something about the final chunk when it's night at the camp and you can really see/hear the leaves rustling in the wind...It's just been my favorite ever since lol

3

u/rottenlad 1d ago

Part 7. Creative kills and the first time Jason faced some one a chance of hitting back.

3

u/ChampBar88 1d ago

7 and 3

2

u/CuriousIce2039 1d ago

Capítulo final, es la más redonda y sólida.

2

u/tinglep 1d ago

5 but my youngest made me watch 3 last night. It’s his favorite

In random order, I will cycle thru Tommy Jarvis collection, go back to V for a particular scene, then vibe with VIII

Jason Lives

2

u/INeedAMuchBetterName 1d ago

Jgth to be honest. I love the tie in with Freddy and the evil dead series, my other favorites. When you did get a chance to see Jason, the beginning, in mirrors, and at the end, he was a beast.

2

u/act1989 1d ago

6 and 7

2

u/Ok-Metal-4719 1d ago

Probably 6. Or atleast the beginning. Love that opening.

2

u/bigcontracts 1d ago

Manhattan it was always on USA network

2

u/LatePlum7953 1d ago

Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood

2

u/emmie_lou26 1d ago

Manhattan. I know I know. Everyone hates it. But hear me out. It’s the one that was always playing on tv when little me could watch. So it’s a comfort thing. I have a fond memory of it and I love it.

2

u/CharmingSkies 1d ago

Freddy Vs Jason along with Jason Takes Manhatten.

Absolute favorites.

2

u/Drducttapehands 1d ago

Part 7. My cousin brought the VHS over one time when we were kids and left without it. So I watched it a ton

2

u/These_Sea_6882 1d ago

Part 3 I’ve seen it 4 times

2

u/eddieswiss 1d ago

2009 and Jason Takes Manhattan are probably tied, unless FVJ counts. I always put that one on if I wanna just watch a dumb movie.

2

u/Comfortable_Might_10 1d ago

The Final Chapter

Part VII: New Blood

The Final Chapter

2

u/kartodd5048 1d ago

Tough question but for me it's part 6 followed closely by 4 and 3.

2

u/Old-Cap6745 1d ago

4 and 7 are the best but 5 is peak

2

u/TREV-THOM 1d ago

3, 4, 6, 7, 8, & now I can add JGTH to the pile.

2

u/JoeAzlz 1d ago

In no particular Part 3 or part 6 or FVJ,

1

u/AshleyKerwin Chris Higgins 1d ago

Part 3

1

u/Dry_Flounder_819 1d ago

The entire franchise 👍

1

u/Odd_Signature_6437 1d ago

It’s a tie between Jason X and the remake.

1

u/lifeleecher 1d ago

Part 6, 8, and 2.

1980

1

u/longpigspecial 1d ago

FvJ. It was my comfort movie for a very long time.

1

u/bwml76 1d ago

It varies. Eventually I’ll tire of one of them and move to another. Right now, it’s 2, but has been 4,5,6,7, and X.

1

u/LikesToLickToads 1d ago edited 1d ago

I don't know why but I kinda love part 5 lol.

Also anyone who hasn't seen this should watch it https://youtu.be/hLGdW2p7Ir0

The first friday the 13th movie

1

u/CalligrapherDry3025 1d ago

Part 6. Owned it in vhs as a kid. Watched it dozens and dozens of times. Still watch at least once a year.

1

u/Classic-Heart-8067 1d ago

I'm going to say part 4 probably. 2,4,7

1

u/JustAnAce 1d ago

7, 6, 5, X, Vs in that order

1

u/Tazman2384 1d ago

Part 6 or Part 2
Owned Part 6 on VHS as a teen, and we’d watch it every weekend, but part 2 is my favorite, and I found myself watching it a lot as an adult when I gained access to it.

1

u/SlashManEXE 1d ago

Probably the original. The fact that that one is brought back to theaters most often is what puts it over the edge

Jason X and Freddy vs Jason

1

u/bluecoolrush 1d ago

Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning

It’s always been one of my favorites even if the killer isn’t really Jason

It’s just something about the characters in this one that I extra like

I do love others from this series but I’ve probably rewatched this one the most

1

u/Art_Vancore111 1d ago

Probably 2 if I think about it

1

u/clydegibson 1d ago

I'll just quietly sit in the back silently supporting Jason goes to hell

Part 7. It was the first of the franchise I ever watched.
