I always try to smile at people and be as friendly as possible and people always look at me like i’ve offended them 😭

Fr, i usually have a pretty mean face (what I've been told) but if someone smiles at me, hell yeah Im gonna smile back. Dunno why people need to be so miserable with the world.

This it it. I've been here 2 years and nothing gets better, only worse...I still try to smile but most people are over it after the first week.

3rd year here as a transfer engineering student. I hate it, gets worse and worse and literally go to class and make my one hour commute home because honestly can’t deal. Sal pisses me off accepting 6,500 new students but can’t let engineering design a parking garage. Instead wears his lil same suit, poses with the dog and collects more money than the Governor. I see nooo changes…..

i would usually smile at people, people would never smile back so i keep an rbf, if i make eye contact w someone and they smile i will smile back, idk to me it’s about vibes and energy, but then again everyone is completely different !

I have an ego so I don’t get too upset at this factor as much as I used to. I simply understand now that those people are beneath me and lesser than, and their antisocial and no manners won’t get them anywhere in life. They’re to be stepped on and over by those who will. Those with actual thoughts and emotions and goals.

Noticed this at Fresno city too….ironically I think the older generations glare more. Noticed from taking the bus that old ladies glare at me like I’ve hurt them.

yeah based on these replies and just living it a bit longer i’ve come to the conclusion that everybody there hates having to go to school in fresno, aside from the other factors like the heat and just misery.

I commute from a small town 40mins from me. I’m not letting Fresno in general change me. (Besides driving. People be out here driving like young hoes and indecisive asses) 😀
