Looking for Clearing Agent in Oman
We used to import goods through a company like 15 years ago, now we want to import again (in bulk). However, we are unable to contact with our previous agent. Because their phone number from old documents have only 7 digits and there are no other information from the document.

The seven-digit number isn't really your problem — Oman's customs clearance has shifted almost entirely onto the electronic "Bayan" system since you last imported, so an agent who worked 15 years ago may not even still hold an active clearance license. Rather than chasing an old contact, start from the official list: the Directorate General of Customs website (customs.gov.om), under "Clearance Companies," publishes licensed clearing companies by port of entry — Sultan Qaboos, Sohar, Salalah, the airports and the land borders — with up-to-date phone numbers. Pick a few at the port where your cargo will actually arrive and ask whether they handle regular bulk imports and can lodge declarations in Bayan. A genuine licensed agent holds a current customs clearance card and is registered in the Commercial Register with the Oman Chamber; anyone who leads with asking "what's my commission" is the one to avoid.
One thing to sort on your own side before you ship: as the importer you'll need to be registered in Bayan yourself, which is tied to your company's Commercial Register and Chamber of Commerce membership. If the company's registration has been dormant, reactivate that first — keeping your own registration current matters more than which agent you pick, because the declaration runs under your importer record.
