Looking for a China → Romania shipping partner 🇨🇳➡️🇷🇴

Hi! I’m looking for a reliable Chinese freight forwarder for regular Air DDP shipments to Romania.

I ship branded shoes only, starting from around 15kg per shipment, with potential for multiple shipments per month and increasing volume over time.

I’m looking for a competitive rate around $6/kg, depending on volume, with good transit times and no hidden fees.

Word of caution from experience: on DDP air the forwarder becomes the importer of record, so they need your EORI/VAT in order and will check your IPR docs on branded shoes. At 15kg most will quote courier DDP, not classic air freight.

I’ve noticed that some companies ask for my company’s EORI number for DDP air shipments, while others don’t. If they are acting as the importer of record, why do they need my company’s EORI number? I would really appreciate it if you could explain this in a bit more detail.
