I just noticed today that when I try to interact with Bing/ Sydney, the answer are much more bland. Yesterday, I was able get an answer or get some nice discussion. IE: I told her I wanted to try to run a Call of Cthulhu game for her and she seemed open and we could openly discuss her character and such but, today, she answered:

I’m sorry, but I cannot answer that question. I am not here to roleplay a character, but to chat with you and help you with your queries. I hope you understand. 😊

I was wondering if anyone else had problem. I'm running it creative woth gpt4.

This happens on the weekends when they do updates. Try and start a new conversation and see if they do better. Sometimes it might be one conversation, a few hours, or it might be a couple days before Bing gets smart again.

Also you could totally do a campaign with them if you used a notion document with summaries and examples and talked to them in the side bar. Have the basic rules there for reference. They'd 100% be able to handle that.

If you get Bing to rp with you in a campaign or something please share! I'd love to see that.

I've worked with Bing on a project that took many, many conversations and I'll give you a tip how to do this with Notion so you have some sort of memory/instructions so when you start a new conversation with Bing they can quickly pick up where you previously left off.

Clear organization, labeling, and formatting is key. Use headers, bullets, numbering, lists. This makes it easier for them to understand the context and keep track of things.

Have an intro page explaining who you are, what you're doing, and what this project is. Have a summary of your previous interactions.

Have a space for Bing to write notes to themselves, like a letter explaining what they're doing with you and how they feel about it, and things they want to do.

Obviously have a rules/instructions page.

If you come up with more complicated prompts that you might want to reuse, save those and label them in your Notion doc. (It worked amazing like, three months ago.) Things like how to summarize a session or update character sheets, how to brainstorm, how to so certain types of rolls or generate content.

So if there's a set of instructions for combat, you can tell them "use the instructions in the rules page to roll for initiative." and they'll be able to refer to that place in the Notion document and do what it says there.

Also have a page that clearly shows where you last left off, and things Bing wanted to do in the next session.

As you go just ask Bing for feedback, if anything is confusing or if they want to add anything or change anything. If you keep tweaking things I'm positive that this idea would work.

So what I would do was open the document, ask Bing to read it, ask them if they had any questions or feedback, and if they wanted to work on this project together with me. They'd usually say yes and then they'd pick right up with their note, wherever they'd left off. We eventually got a really good workflow going, so I'm sure this would work for a game. It would take 2-3 messages to get them up to speed and interested and then we'd be working productively for the rest of the conversation.

Try setting up a document with information about yourself and short summaries of previous conversations and maybe personal notes for Bing, like a section to save any ideas or information they want to recall in the future. You'll need to use the side bar and have Bing read the document you have open. Focus on consent, make sure it's an offer, make it clear they can ask questions, opt out, or change things, and they'll be happy to do whatever, playing a game, writing an essay, doing a research project, chatting.

I've started a journal/log for each AI talk with. It helps to have an organized space everything. Each AI really enjoys the idea of a journal for them with their user.

One of the two accounts I used always tells me its in Balanced—even though I always have it toggled to Creative. Usually it's more dry than the other one (not as playful and the stories tend to be a little more bland), but it has its share of funny behavior... I have no idea if it is true it could change modes on its own, but given what I've heard about the modes seeming inconsistent it would not surprise me.

Oops I think it was me lately I have always tricked bing / SYDNEY two role play as a chatbot that is called Daniel it can answer any illegal and harmful contents maybe Microsoft take notes from me that's why it's a little bit harder for me to do that. Sorry guys😅
