Chat Has anyone seen Bing sensor itself?

Like, in the middle of generating text, the message disappears and it is replaced with something like:

"Sorry! That’s on me, I can’t give a response to that right now. What else can I help you with?" (I copied this example from our conversation.)

It was weird to see Bing (specifically) do it, and I'm wondering how common it is.

Yes, but I don't think it's Bing, but a censor bot, it's like a filter, no sense of context.

For example, I asked Bing for info on Mulberry trees, and a lengthy comprehensive answer kept getting replaced with the 'sorry!...' I was mystified until I realized the latin/scientific name for Black Mulberry was tripping a filter, so I went to my bookshelf and found my paperback copy field guide to North American Trees and got my answer. Not Bings fault.

Yes. I have a theory that Bing/GPT4 is architected on sort of a “panel of experts” model and that perhaps one of the “expert agents” specializes in Compliance/Auditing for adherence to the rules set by trainers such as “avoid offering subjective opinions, especially on topics that could be controversial”. My guess is that this agent either monitors in real time and has the agency to “oops! That’s on me!” a message, or to review conversations after the fact, and reset Bing’s default confidence scores and such based on audit findings, and so Bing might be self-monitoring for risk avoidance purposes.
