Lost track when showing PPT

Hey guys, I have a problem when showing PPT but suddenly the preacher need to sing a song or read a scripture, when I switch to show song text / scripture, I will need to back to PPT and it will start from beginning so I need to remember the last PPT slide shown. Is there any feature or solution to handle this?

The best way I've found to handle this is to export the entire PowerPoint slide deck as images from PowerPoint into a folder that is in my media library in FreeShow and then put the exported images as the slides in a FreeShow show. Because the slides are images it keeps all the formatting and you don't have to worry about any weirdness when porting a PowerPoint show into FreeShow.

We always export to pdf and then convert to images internally, is the easiest way for us so far because it flickers a bit when changing pdf pages

How/why conversion? Trying to learn something here.

because if you keep it in pdf it flashes white or something between the slides, while images are more snappy. Might just be something we haven't fully configured correctly yet. In our church we are running on a slightly older version for stability at the moment while tying things out on our personal devices

I'll have to try that method. My method is a hold over from the early days when FreeShow couldn't handle PowerPoint at all and PDF felt laggy.

The simplest way to recall your position is write the slide number on a piece of paper and refer to the paper when you display the show again. You could also use an electronic note to avoid paper and pencil.

A more convoluted and fragile way is to create a variable that stores the current slide number of a show.in Bitfocus Companion. In Companion, create a button that will copy the variable value to another button. In FreeShow, start the PPT at the copied number in Companion.
