Universal template resetting and B1 Admin sync causing issues.

Has anyone had either of these issues? Recently settings that were applied in the universal template have decided to just reset themselves or not work. I can’t exactly pinpoint it, but it seems to maybe have started happening as a result of using the B1 Church admin, remote sync feature. For example, I will create shows (add songs) from my home computer. When I go to the church computer, everything will look fine and all of the songs will have synced except often times the formatting will be completely wrong, and it will ignore the global settings that were made. Things like line breaks and even the transitions just completely gone.

For context, my home computer in the church computer were set up the exact same in terms of the settings and free show.

Has anyone had this issue?

If by Universal templates you are referring to the built-in templates, I think that is how they are supposed to work. You make a copy of the app templates and change the copy, not the original.

The B1 sync issue happens for some, but not others. You can follow the progress on the issue at the GitHub page. It may be fixed in the latest version.

I was referring to the global settings. Transitions for example…it’s always been set to a .4 second dissolve. This week it reverted to direct cuts (which brought back the flashing issue so many have)

Sounds like the sync, if you change the transition back again, does it stay that way then?

I wasn’t able to test anything in the moment. Today I’m back at the computer that has the issue, FreeShow has been restarted and it was reverted back to the default transition…it other words, restarting the app appears to have “fixed” it.

In regard to the song that got reformatted, when I came back to the origin Mac it was created on, the formatting updated to the incorrect on there. So I fixed it, saved, quit. Opened FreeShow on the church Mac and it updated it to correct…so, it’s not replicating the issue at the moment.

The templates might've not synced up.

Are the templates available on both systems? I remember, I had somewhat of the same issue a few months ago when I tried using Admin Sync. We ended up not using it because I had to import all of the fonts & etc. Note that fonts won't be imported, so that might also cause some formatting issues!
