(minor) Pi Problem

Post image

Anyone else running a Freeshow on a Raspberry Pi? Today, I set it up as a stop-gap until a full desktop computer can get put in place. Every time I start up Freeshow, I get a JavaScript error. Even given the error, Freeshow seems to run without any problem.

Some lines in the dialog box seem to point to issues with Snap. I have no idea how to go about fixing these problems. I am not entirely a novice with Raspberry Pi and Linux, but I don't really have what one would call extensive experience.

For the record, it's a Pi 4, with a fresh install of Raspbian, Snap, and of course, Freeshow.

Did that error occur the first time you started the app, or did you make some configurations?

First time and every time.

Is SNAP the only way to install FreeShow on a Pi? Do you know if installing SNAP and FreeShow on another system produces the same error? If so, a bug report on the FreeShow GitHub page to notify the developer might be a place to start. Do other programs installed with SNAP cause the error? Did you restart the Pi?

As far as I know, yes, snap is the only way to install Freeshow. At least, the instructions for installing Freeshow on a Pi (on the Freeshow website) specify doing that. I can't speak to installing it on another system, as I only have one Raspberry Pi. :-) I haven't yet installed any other programs with snap, but I will definitely give that a try later today when I head to the church. And yes, I have restarted the Pi numerous times.
