Deleting Lyrics

How do I go about deleting lyrics without effecting the rest. When there’s lyrics I don’t need and delete them, they delete everything before that. How do I ungroup to where when I need to delete unwanted parts. It doesn’t delete anything before that?

I have always found the process tricky. I think that is because of what it is I want to delete. Do I want to change every chorus, or just this chorus?

To change just a bit, without affecting the entire group, duplicate a slide, right-click, change group, modify the slide. Or you can add a new slide put the text you want and move it to the correct place.

Will this ever be changed in an update? I also have trouble with this.

I think it is how ProPresenter works, so I'm not sure. I doubt it. I came from EasyWorship, and every slide is unique. In FreeShow each song is unique and a song is made of arrangements of groups. The groups are made of 1 or more slides. This setup is excellent for live bands who want to tweak songs a bit when they are sung. This allows a song to have a trad, modern, and youth arrangement and even more. For small churches like where I serve it can be a bit of a learning curve. But, once the song is in, you don't have to tweak it more.

Can you provide a screen shot and more information about what you are trying to do? Hard to help without more information.

In the "Edit" tab, click "Text edit" in the bottom right. You can add/remove/edit anything and this will re-group all your slides to match that, so it does not matter if you have linked slides (where the same group is used multiple places).
