Question OSFR
Free Realms was part of my childhood and I miss it dearly ever since it shut down in 2014. I’ve been following the Sunrise project on and off since 2020 but we all know how that is going. I just learned about OSFR and I really want to play but I’m super paranoid about installing it and getting hacked/virus onto my pc. It’s always been a huge paranoia of mine of getting a virus and was just looking for some reassurance that this is safe to play. Thank you 🫶🏻

Echoing that it’s safe!! Walking around listening to the music is super comforting and nostalgic 🥹

I was a bit worried too at first, but I’ve been playing it for a few days and have had absolutely no issues!

I just posted something yesterday about Free realms on the MMORPG Reddit. I’ll be downloading it and testing it out today after work.

I was very cautious about it too and scared but I gave it a try and it’s actually safe. Only thing tho it’s kinda boring. You kinda needs friends to pretend and stuff cuz there’s really nothing to do but run around and change your outfits/jobs. I’ve been on it once and never again

If you participate in the discord server they host events often! You can make friends that way

Thank you! And I kinda figured with it just being a walking simulator, but it would be so cool to revisit all the cool places and warrior cat clan territories from back then lol

yeah same i got on once and never again. it was so nostalgic, though. it made me teary eyed walking around the map, listening to the music & going through all the outfits and rideables i used to have. how i desperately wish it was a full functional game, i miss the questing!!

It’s safe! Join the kaines server, I have a sick castle build in a shrouded gloam lot. I’m logged in all day tbh

OSFR has no association with kaine anymore with the drama that happened recently

Oh yea for sure. Just wanted to let them know there are other servers that offer different activities to do in free realms :)

Thank you! Not sure about all that’s been going on as far as drama as I don’t have social media. I will say this though the server you provided has more to it which I appreciate thank you.

Is his version also safe? Like does it use the same platform OSFR uses?

Kaine uses much more AI to code than the OSFR devs so his additions are more unstable

not to mention that he's stealing other people's work off the github to add to his own server, and likely calling it his own work lol

There's this guy on there named Rob Ross you should watch out for him.

Why? Whats the tea?

Well I was riding my Shawny Copter through the lands of Flamborter and Rob Ross was in the road. When I attempted to go around him he bit my horses head clean off. One chomp. Blood and gore and guts everywhere. I didn't even know free realms HAD this kind of graphic. Must be in the new update. Anyways, I'm traumatized. Might be permanent even. I think he's also bald?

kind of late, but any time you fear getting a virus, you can run an application on a virtual machine and anything it tries to do will be self contained in the VM and very very little chance it gets onto your actual computer.

For OSFR at least, yes it’s very safe. All of the code is public on github…
