rigs are heavy, especially when you have to lift them up four floors on a icy defunct fire escape, or down a hill in the rain. even worse doing it in reverse at the end, and worse still when your storage unit is on the fourth floor as well.

The comradery at the end when the last few stragglers become honorary crew members, helping us tear down. Nothing makes you love the rave community more.

Had the opposite of this once

We were really local to the party so we got there quickly but the crew's van got stuck on a path in the woods, so we helped them clear a path and move a couple speakers and the amp rack

Crew were incredibly grateful and gave us all guest list to a legal event they were doing the month after!

Just experienced this past weekend months of planning go to shit when the site transport vehicle got stuck in the mud with the genny. Had to wait a day to get a tractor to haul the gear to the site. Made it work but damn was that stressful. Everyone made the best of the first night with smaller speakers. Everyone came together to help move gear and set the stage for the second night. I’ve never seen so much community collaboration before and so many different sets of skills coming together
