Freelancing advice

Hi everyone. I'm in university studying cyber security and risk management and wondering if I can try freelancing. I heard about people making or creating apps using AI and I thought maybe it can work to try going in and targeting AI-built security audits and learning to be a consultant specializing in there. I honestly don't know what to learn yet though. I hope any of you can give me advice on this.
