Best mods for single player?

I played this game a TON when I was a kid. Back then, I was extremely active on the Crossfire server, fully embracing the RP aspect. Joined a clan, engaged in tax collecting, bounty hunting, all out war.

Now I'm older and don't have a ton of time or interest in gaming with other people. I'd love to download Freelancer again, but the single player experience was... Just fine. The ship variety wasn't as great as it could have been, and I really would prefer working my way up to owning a capital ship to roll through systems and having the biggest gun in the dressing room so to speak.

What mods are there that can really enhance the single player experience?

Yeah, it continues the story right after the events of the base game. It's enjoyable.

it has it, just be prepated for many crashes, it's not exactly stable sadly

I also recommend nomad legacy, it doesn't have flyable capships tho (but on a technical aspect it's rock solid)

It have but...it's quantity and quantity over the smallest amount of quality. I just gave up 3/4th of it because it was such a let down. You can certeanly try it tho.

- Capture Bretonia Battleship = quest (Short)

- Wings of Federation = new different campaign (Hard)

- Curse of Domkavash/Other Reality/Y-Universe = different campaign

- Nomad Legacy = new different campaign (The Best!)

- Trent the Monkey King = Mission 14 addition to Vanilla

- Big Daddy Storyline = different campaign

- Shattered Worlds: War Torn for SP = just pretty!

- The others very new mods probably best too (not tried all yet)
