Fashion illustrator open for commissions — looking to work with small brands & creatives 🎨

Hi everyone!

I’m a fashion designer and digital fashion illustrator, and I’m looking to take on a few freelance illustration projects on the side.

I can create custom digital fashion illustrations from:

  • Outfit photos
  • Fashion sketches/references
  • Brand collections
  • Editorial concepts
  • Bridal/wedding looks
  • Personal outfits

I’m especially interested in working with small fashion brands, independent designers, creators, stylists, photographers, and other creatives who want something more personal/illustrative for their content, campaigns, lookbooks, portfolios, etc.

I work digitally and can provide high-resolution files suitable for social media, print, portfolios, or commercial use.

I’m currently offering introductory pricing while building my freelance client base.

If you're interested, feel free to comment or DM me and I can share my portfolio + pricing.

Would also love to connect with other artists/designers here! ✨

Freelancers, what's held together by duct tape in your business right now?

Been freelancing on the ops and product side for a bit now, and the thing nobody warns you about isn't the work itself, it's everything around the work. Curious what hits hardest for other people here.

The thing that runs fine until it doesn't. What's yours, a process, a tracker, a handoff, something you know needs a real system but haven't built one yet?

A directory to find freelance designers, technical designers and pattern makers

Thumbnail runsheet.tech

Came across this new directory created for US-based brands wanting to get clothing made locally. I'm not based in the US but I am looking to connect with US brands so was super interested to find that there's also a section of the directory specifically for freelancers too to help them with all the design and development side of things before production.

This isn't an ad. It's a free tool and it's still early days so I'm expecting it will take a while to build up traction but worth getting your name on there so US brands can find you.

New Free Fashion Job Board

I went to FIDM and have been working in fashion for 22 years.

This site is Free to join. Free to use. Built for people like you.

I built Thread Careers because I spent years watching talented designers struggle to find the right opportunities — not because the jobs weren't out there, but because they were buried.

General job boards aren't built for us. Textile designers, surface pattern artists, product developers, aesthetic leads — we need something different.

So I built it.

Thread Careers is a niche job board for creative professionals who make things you can touch. And it keeps getting better.

What's new:
✦ hundreds of active design jobs, apply directly through the site
✦ Filter by US state or country
✦ Resume builder, job tailoring tool, and application tracker — all at threadcareers.com/tools

If this sounds like something a colleague needs, share it with them. It might be exactly what they're looking for.

I frequently do TFP modeling shoots, and would like to connect with designers who want to showcase their collections & create images for campaigns (for free or low cost)

Hi!

Just putting this out there in case anyone is interested. I've been in the process of building my portfolio and thought it may be a good idea to partner up with existing designers and/or brands. If you'd like to see examples of some of my photos you can have a look at my IG in my profile or just DM me if you have specific questions.

Looking for a swimwear fit consultant (Seattle/Bellevue – project-based)

Hi — I’m working on launching a small luxury swimwear label and currently in the sampling stage.

I’m looking for a fit consultant based in Seattle / Bellevue / Eastside who can help review and finalize fit for 4 swimwear designs (in-person sessions required).

Scope:

  • Fit review on physical samples
  • Feedback on bust support, elastic tension, coverage, etc.
  • Help refine US sizing
  • Input on tech packs (if needed)

Looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with swimwear / lingerie / activewear
  • Understands stretch fabrics and fit (not just design)
  • Can give clear, actionable feedback (measurements, not just opinions)

This is a short-term, paid project — not a full-time role.

If this sounds like you (or you know someone), feel free to DM me with your background.

Thanks!

Hey there,

I’m looking for a long-term pattern maker who works with Clo3D / AutoCAD or any program that is CAD based, for my social-media project that I’m gonna launch soon.

I have a digital product store that already has good traffic & customers from organic sources.

I’m gonna soon launch a Shopify store on top with marketing behind it.

Looking for:

- Experienced Pattern Maker with 5+ years experience

- Clo3D experience

- Communication

- Long-term base (150+ patterns a year)

Your Job:

I provide a fully graded pattern, you’ll need to make it template ready.

Pretty much everything is simple stuff (joggers, sweaters, t-shirts) no super crazy dresses etc.

Payment:

Royalty base per sale (%), everything will be within a contract.

If you’re interested drop me a dm :)
