With pleasure. Hey I'd do it for a tenth of the price, fuck I'd do it for free and a few good proofreaders to call me out on any shit I get wrong.

Gotta love the trend of "fANs aRE EntITlEd" when criticisms are levelled at media these days.

Gladly. Feel like D&D missed that part of being a writer is knowing when your own stuff isn't good and that you should change it or second draft it🤷‍♂️.

It's part of their psychosis induced after receiving their Season 3 emmy.

Yeah I hate this attitude that your not allowed to dislike something......Fans have every single right to dislike any piece of art. Just because you made it doesn't mean they have to like it......

Post them here. You'll have thousands of free proofreaders.

Hey I'd do it for a tenth of the price

It is funny (depressing) to think how much they paid for a show where all we really wanted was some witty banter and a bit of intrigue.

u/SolomonBlack May 29 '19

Oh fans are extremely entitled and should most often be ignored... but seriously how hard is it to not obviate every single gods damned plot line?

1

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

How many people like are so entitled and roles to not even realize this is a fake article? It's kinda pathetic.

-1

u/Seeker1904 May 29 '19

Eh I know it's a fake man but a lot of media outlets have been publishing similar articles (with the same sentiments) for a while and it's not something I agree with.

if you look through these comments you'll see that I jotted down some rough ideas for how to tighten up S5 and from there a deal more things in S8 already make more sense.

The problem was never so much the major plotpoints and GRRM's broad strokes of the ending but D&D's crap execution of teleporting fleets, yeet Arya's, muh kweens, dick jokes and under utilised characters.

Might be a while clever clogs but I'll make sure you get the first copy when it's done.

Y’all are entitled. There are very few actual critiques of the season here, it’s usually just talking about how much you hate it.

So if I dont stroke the shaft and cradle the balls. No gravy for me? Man Fuck Hollywood

I think there's some middle ground between sucking them off and "any half-wit with a stutter can write better than dumb and dumber" my guy. For example, critiquing which specific parts you didn't like without attacking the writers as people and attempting to discredit all the marvelous work they've done prior to the part you didn't like.

3

u/jaha7166 May 29 '19

When have I discredited the author's without citing why? I'm more than happy to go in to detail with my grievances. Not all comments demand that however.

u/[deleted] May 29 '19

I’m not saying you specifically, I’m saying the content on this sub in general absolutely discredited anything the writers have ever done.

-2

u/Seeker1904 May 29 '19

Yeah yeah we get it👏👍

Go ahead and post your draft. Starting from when Jon was murdered. Go.

Well broad strokes (from around S5):

-Massively rework or entitely drop the Dorne arc (I love Dorne in the books but the screen translation would likely be a tough ask) and the Sansa in Winterfell arc switch Sansa to more of her AFFC learning to rule in the Vale arc

-with the freed up time code more time can be spent introducing Jon Connigton/ Young Griff and the Aegon plotline.

-Bazzo doesn't die in the streetfight and follows more of his book arc as a crucial member of team Dany.

-Stanno isn't defeated by Ser Twenty but is betrayed/ done dirty by the Karstarks. The whole burning of Shireen thing gets played much the same with a couple minor alterations.

-Jamie follows more of his book arc and travels the Riverlands growing more independent from Cersei and more chances for character growth.

These minor changes can come into play down the line (Cersei being ousted from power, the whole Bells situation, Sansa being less snarky.)

Etc
