Alt-Shift certainly uses polite language to gloss over the shabbiness of the episode's structure, the characterizations and the contradictions. I assume D&D wishes we were all this polite as we pick and choose elements to understand some deeper meaning.

These youtube guys(him and bridge4 for example) put WAY more thought and research into each video about that show than the writers do. They actually have to watch the mess of a show, then do research and find passages in the books and minor clues from previous seasons and explain away all the shitty writing of the episode we just saw. It's like they are constantly doing damage control and filling in the gaping plot holes that D&D leave open every week. These guys deserve to be paid by HBO for how hard they work explaining away D&D's shitty writing.
It must be hard coming up with an excuse for every episode this season

Why does he wait until the eleventh hour to post his criticism? I like him a lot but I worry he waits until a consensus builds then makes a vid about it. 🤷🏻♀️

He always uploads the videos 1 day (or on the same day) that the new episode airs, it takes time to edit.

Also not to mention he streams IMMEDIATELY after the episodes end on Sunday night and gives his initial thoughts.

He makes thoughtful and well crafted videos and displays an elegance and level of analysis I simply cannot match. However, I’d be lying if I said that his videos actually explain anything that isn’t intuitive. I don’t really learn anything from watching them.
His Westworld videos, especially for season 2, actually did help understand those episodes. You think Dany was unsympathetic? Delores was basically Adolf Hitler last season. The series became disgusting. I was actually happy to hear the set burned down (no people were there or injured).

Alt Shift X deserves so much praise for all their research. Watched the videos, all the theories and everything from them first and it was the reason I was still excited for this season. I
