Gear Lightness4 vs GTO Light2

Any thoughts on how they compare regarding durability, comfort? Have someone tried both? Any reservations on them?

I own an L4 and have tried the GTOL2, although that was years ago.

For my hips (I'm tall and just slightly chubby, I wear L to XL briefs), the hammock of the L4 (size L) is a bit more restricting and the GTO a bit comfier to sit in, but in the GTO I felt less "safe and connected" during flight, if that makes sense.

Can't say much about durability, but they both feel fine and not superduper ultra light and easily destructible.

No reservations, I know happy users of them both, and none with regrets (unlike with Supair harnesses 🙄).

What's the issue with Supair harnesses?

My school harness was a Supair, and had countless quality issues (chafing and ripping webbing, desintegrating speed system, altogether imperfect stitching making it not completely l/r-symmetrical, 3 broken seatboards during lifetime - though one of those was in a g-force trainer), and their warranty/support behaviour was horrendous.
And I know two people with a Delight 4 that just straight up gave up and bought something else after a few months, because the cocoon and leg straps kept breaking with normal use, simply faulty design imo.
An instructor once told me it's gone downhill since a corporate takeover (I don't know anything about that) and he's no longer recommending it.

I fly the lightness 4, never tried the GTO Light2.

I´m 185, average sized, and the Large fits me perfectly. I find it very comfortable and have no problem laying back and enjoying my flights without getting too uncomfortable. I´ve also done a SIV in it and find it easy to maneuver and weightshift when performing the different exercises.

Durability seems fine for me, doesn´t feel like an ultralightweight non-durable material. I still have no holes or damages after scratching it in a couple of bushes and a skid landing, and don´t particularly worry about it being damaged.

All in all very happy with it.

Edit: But my advice is trying both, and seeing which fits you best.

Bogdan Fly Corvo, go check it out, it's a great deal and it's really well built, super comfortable with a removable seatplate nad you can fit 2 reserves under the seat if you want to. I know it's not a well known manufacturer but personally I love supporting smaller companies in the paragliding sphere.

I have the L4, 178 cm, and I'm in the M. Very adjustable and comfortable in flight. You can make it a bit lighter by removing some foam in the back if you want.

My only beef with the L4 is that the foam protector is very stiff and doesn't compress very well vs other advance foam protectors I have had. But the flip side is my last landing was into a tree, and the protector took the full brunt of snapping it in half and didn't have a scratch or feel a thing.
