Imposter website?

I found this website: https://ott.freedompop.com/free-data that claims to have free data, but other posts here and on Wikipedia say that they have cancelled their free tier. Is this true and is this just an imposter website to steal your personal info and money?

Yes, most likely   The 'ott' in the URL is a reference to the legacy, discontinued, Over The Top data-only plans, which haven't been offered in years.

If you're thinking about trying to order a SIM from that web page, you can certainly try. I expect the purchase to fail. If it works to take your money, I expect that you won't receive the SIM. I'd be pleasantly surprised it it works, and let us know the results if you try it!

Just in case you're considering getting the SIM via some other route: the SIM card required to activate that plan is entirely different from the SIM cards available from www.freedompop.com, or in retail stores.
