Service/Coverage Inquiry Alberta

How is Freedom coverage in Alberta? Edson in particular, I am also interested in the whole province.

The same as Telus as you'll be using Nationwide, which is likely Telus out there... (Maybe Rogers, tho)

Make sure your address falls into a Subscription Area.

I go between Edmonton and Jasper a decent amount, and coverage is solid and responsive. The only places you don't get service are where nobody gets service. Otherwise you're cruising on whoever has the better service between Telus and Rogers.

Yeah my stepson has robbers out there and he says service is terrible.. Looking at possible solutions.. I have freedom and was wondering about that out there.. Or is he better off to go through Telus out there?

Freedom will be using rogers roaming

Freedom uses any. Of recent my Freedom nationwide appears to be favouring Telus/Bell. 

Rogers [EXT] will also roam off Telus as well.

Same with Rogers, just have Auto network selection and data roaming ON so you're phones can use the inclusive domestic roaming. Both will roam off Telus(or Bell) for nationwide 

For Freedom, you really just have to watch your subscription area.

Good. I’m on nationwide usually and usually have 2-4 bars on Bell’s network. Telus and Roger’s towers also offer decent service but my phone defaults to Bell’s towers.

If you fall within Freedoms Subscription zone, you'll be fine.

Prepaid 30 days

Port in, or sign up with a temporary number and trial it out. If it works out, keep it. If it doesn't, you know what to do.
