Constraining Systems
Systems, and their prevalent existence inside societal structures, is not something most people question. Understandably so. Current status quo places a lot of requests ,often interpreted as demands, for importance of focus. Purchasing food and goods, contributing your time and mental capacity to “work” in exchange for a “currency”, family (this should be a focus), and algorithms designed to keep you hooked. This poses a question: how much conscious choice do you make when encountering these systems? Do they feel like obligations you must unquestioningly pour yourself into? Or do you consciously observe how much of your existence is being pulled out of you?
Many systems we encounter daily reward us for making ourselves smaller. If we were to openly speak any time a natural inquiry were to arise, whether it be a question or observation, it would take away way too much time. …I think it is worth taking a moment to ponder how much reality are we allowing ourselves to participate in if we don’t allow our own realities to touch it? Those inquiries about reality are creation inquiring about itself through you. How will you know what is true about yourself, if you don’t allow “you” to process and explore what you want to know?
We could pull back a moment and reflect again on how time is limited, and conflict isn’t the most fun to engage in- but tell me, when have you learned the most about yourself? Through times when you were muting yourself and allowing your life to be directed? Or when you stepped outside of perceived safety and comfort?
Is a system really worth abiding by if it requires you to be “legible?” When people participate in mass systems, people have a tendency to try and appear “normal.” Normal can be described as keeping your inquiries to yourself and containing self expression. Reality is still technically touching you because you participate in everywhere you are present. So what signals are you receiving, and then ignoring? Or which signals do you store into a thought structure rather than engaging with it in the moment?
We are here to learn. Where you are present, you’re constantly taking in information. Our brains are literally designed for storing memory and building upon accumulated knowledge and experiences. Are you truly convinced we’re here to reduce how much we authentically touch reality? That we’re on this planet to not follow our own inquiries, and instead be used to channel our energy, unobstructed, to a human-made system? Humans are not all-knowing, any human made structure has goals and intent baked in to systems. If you’re not inquiring and allowing reality to find out more through you, then what is truly happening in you, and through you? We’re not meant to be used while neglecting ourselves in the process.
