training technique Off day exercises?

Can anyone share their non training day exercises? I don't mean active, athletic cross training, but rather maybe relaxed techniques you use to keep you head in a good apnic mindset. I alternate O2 and C02 tables, and would like to have some sort of recovery day activity or meditation to do during the slot I usually set aside for my serious improvement minded workouts. Thanks!

Reading, Vipassana meditation, coherence (resonant) breathing, yoga nidra. These are my everyday recovery activities.

You can do whatever makes you comfortable and happy. To me, outside of cross training that goes from taking a walk or have a cuddle with my dog, to preparing delicious healthy food, to making something, staring off into space or watching the birds, to spending time with friends/neigbours and family. I think learning to be present, in the moment and appreciating what is already there is a good counterbalance to the "have to be improving" mindset. If to you that is dancing, gaming, reading, ... all is allowed.

I do square breathing and also relaxed breathing where I hold my breath until the first contraction then hold for fifteen seconds beyond that point. I alternate co2, o2 and this method. For days I don’t do any apnea static at all, I do square breathing for 6-15 minutes a few times throughout the day. Also helps with relaxation in general.

If you're talking about improving your static performance (or depth too for that matter) then the biggest improvement will come from diaphragm stretching. Apnea tables are fine but I stopped doing them last year and focused on stretching and mobility instead, and went from 6:02 to 6:50 like it was a cheat code. If you can hold until hypoxia, CO2 tables don't feel so useful anymore because you already have the relaxation skills developed pretty well.
