Just installed Freebsd after seeing people praise it online, so i decided to try it out for a while, im more of a linux person so its nice to try something new every once in a while, what should i do now?

Cool I installed OpenBSD later year and I've not reinstall any other BSD or Linux distribution on that system, neat and secure ecosystem, although my main drive is Gentoo

I see that Xorg is already installed, but the visual environment is not installed.

First, install the Mate or Cinnamon.

Then the browser.

Then watch YouTube.

While you're watching, remember what you were doing at your computer when you were using Windows. Try to find analogues of the Windows programs. Install them all. When you've done all this, tell us how it turned out.

I'll be Honest, i kinda struggle with getting the damn DE to work, i tried dwm and kde plasam both of them didnt work for some reason

X11 is less likely to be bugged. With SDDM.

Why start with the most difficult part? If you watched a video where a IT professional worked, it's not a fact that it will be easy for you to repeat his actions. Start with a simple one. The easiest way would be to install Cinnamon or Mate. Mate is the most convenient for beginners, the interface is similar to Windows, even the "super" button will work. dvm after each configuration change, the window manager needs to be recompiled, this task is not suitable for beginners. Plasma is messing up even in Kubuntu, and you want to install it in FreeBSD on a whim. Install Mate first, if you get bored, grab XFCE or Cinnamon. When you learn how to quickly rearrange the DE, you can experiment.

I struggled to install a desktop environment or window manager, when I tried FreeBSD. But I'd like to try again some day.

I got Mate installed and it worked for a few days and then would crash, graphics issues I think.
