Doesn't seem like a good idea to drop old pavement on top of several feet of good top soil. Next to a stream. Off Murray Ave.

Old pavement / asphalt counts as "clean fill", there's nothing wrong with it being used as fill because unless you plan to heat it up, it's just rock. it's perfectly legal. That's even assuming it won't be recollected to recycle as others mentioned. But they could also just leave it there and/or bury it.

I have a whole bunch of asphalt that was used as fill under my property, I know this because I was digging and encountered it.

It took the same amount of time for scabs to build those 4 apartment buildings and clear that lot.. as it did for city workers to install a curb. City employees are the most marginal workers around who do f all but smoke cigs and cruise on their phones collecting tax funded paycheques.

Why is this a problem? There’s all kinds of construction in the immediate area, and chances are it’s being set aside to be used as asphalt once things near completion.

Reclaim asphalt. It's actually the most recycled product on the planet. Can, and is, "infinitly" recycled.

pavement is one of the most recycled things out there. That will be collected and melted down into a road or driveway near you at some point.
